What Causes Pain In The Back And Leg After Using Mirena IUD?
I m on the IUD Mirena and I had periods up until July of this year and it s been off for two months and then tonight it came back on kinda heavy but not too much. My legs hurt and kinda numb, my back hurts and my stomach hurts somewhat. What can be the cause of all of this?
Yes, Minerva may cause back pain through irritation of uterine wall this pain may be there in early days of insertion. It also causes pelvic inflammatory diseases in a few patients may lead to back pain.
But don't worry, use tablet mefenamic acid twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
