What Causes Pain In The Back And Stomach After Taking Sucralfate?

I have been prescribed surcralfrate 1gm for germs. After 3 weeks is started experiencing dull pain in my side back and stomach. I discontinued use 24 hours ago. The pains have subsided but still come and go a bit much less. My question is does drug stay in your system for a few days?

It may not be due to Sucralfate.

If symptoms persist better to consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated.
