What Causes Pain In The Back Lower Right Side Of Head And Neck?

I have pain in the back lower right side of my head and into the top of my neck. It was an instant pain that occured a week ago, and has been a dull ache all week. I have also noticed pressure low in my ears (kind of reminds me of traveling when you ears are plugged and you can t pop them). My sinuses are normal, as I have allergies and usually some drainage. I rarely take advil, but have twice this week. It doesn t get rid of the ache or stiffness, but it makes it more tolerable.

Thanks for your query.
The multiple symptoms of sudden onset pain in the head and neck, pressure in ears as if travelling, allergies with nasal discharge indicate that all these may be related to each other.
I would advise you to do the following:
First of all get checked by an ENT surgeon as all the things can be correlated to each other, have proper examination and investigations and obviously have a proper treatment with prescription based antibiotics, antihistamines and anti-inflammatory medicines, topical nasal decongestant drops.
Complete the courses till you are cured of hte problems, otherwise it may become chronic.
