General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms can be related to a muscle strain. I recommend to do an X-ray of the neck for further evaluation. Meanwhile, I suggest to use anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the pain. I also suggest using an anti-inflammatory gel for local application such as Voltaren gel. I recommend warm compresses for muscle relaxation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
