Hello dear,
Welcome to HCM.
I have read your query and understood your concern.

This time pain neck may be unrelated or related to your previous episode.
The most common cause of pain neck is inappropriate posture. If you have sedentary life style or long siiting hours work or habit of using thick pillows, these habits may result in pain neck.

The other reason is cervical pain that is precipitated by inappropriate posture ,results in compression of nerve of the cervical area.

I will advise you hot packs 12 times a day. If excess pain is there, physiothearpy may be required.
Sometimes x ray cervical spine is required in case it does not respond to.

I hope it helps. If you have any further query, you may ask me.
Stay healthy.
