What Causes Pain In The Buttock Radiating Down The Leg?

continuing extreme pain right butt single point, but radiating some what down the leg. Surgery 6 years ago 3 tries to stop full leg and spine pain. fused L3 -L4. Pain returned each time but with less down right leg. Right hip spot has continued with 7-8 pain level but controlled by epidurals (sp??) about 3 per year and 15 MG oxycodone 4x per day plus Tramadol ?MG 6x per day. 2 nerve obligations 18 months ago and 2 months ago. Continuous treatment by Arizona Pain Clinic. Currently extreme pain has increased in the butt hip original spot. Leg nerve pain almost gone. However the currently allowed medicine level cannot control pain enough to function with normal daily activities. Taking additional 6-8 Tynanoyl 500MG in addition to prescribed meds. Still no control. Spending 16-18 hours per day laying down just to keep pain level down. Pain level lower when lying down, but still wakes me up in morning after meds wear off during night. Pain i constant in the 1 spot with newer spot developing near left hip butt. Pain does not increase with twisting motion like swinging a golf club, but stays the same pain level. Pain level does increase after attempted exercise, but not with the actual motions themselves. Surgery and Pain specialists have been treating this as a damaged or affected nerve problem but none of the treatments have ever reduced or eliminated the one major spot of pain. Is there another reason for the constant worsening pain that nerve treatment is not the whole answer?? Are there other areas to explore for treatment? thanks

Hello,

You have the problem of sciatica which causes pain from the buttocks to the legs. You require an MRI of back for determining actual level f compression. After that depending upon severity of disease, either physiotherapy of surgery can be advised. You will be alright for sure.
