What Causes Pain In The Buttocks Area?

just a few days ago my buttcrack began to hurt . It's red and hurts extremely bad , I think it is swollen as well . I don't think it's cyst because I do not feel any bumps or anything . I'm using clotrimazole on it and it isn't helping the pain much .
