What Causes Pain In The Buttocks?

my ass has been hurting for a month, I have a hard time sitting and the only relief I get is on my side and that is partial relief. I have gas and small amounts of poop. I went thru proton radiation treatment for my prostate, from jan. to march last year but I am not sure that has anything to do with it
