Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Fot the past 6 to 8 months I have had a slight pain in the center of my chest. My heart rate stays normal at 60 BPM. It I have occasional palpitations and have had them for 20 years T comes and goes. I walk every day, practice ti chi and feel very well. I am on antenolol, simivistatin, xaralto ang quinapril.
The symptoms can be related to many medical conditions. I recommend some examinations to help through the diagnosis. I recommend an electrocardiogram and a complete blood count to exclude cardiac issue. Another possible cause can be gastroesophageal reflux disease. I also recommend to take a gastroprotector such as Omeprazole 20 mg daily in the morning.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
