What Causes Pain In The Chest And Arms?

My granddaughter 10 years old on an island in the Irish sea is now getting pains on her chest and her left arm is getting very cold. At one time it was turning blue. As the arm was heated the blue went away. The current temperature there is now about 2 degree. Is it a heart attack or just the cold.

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your granddaughter's situation and problem.
Your granddaughter was having cyanosis (bluish discolouration of skin) in hands. And this can be seen in congenital heart disease and exposure to extreme cold.
So better to rule out cardiac disease first.
Consult cardiologist and get done
1. Ecg
2. 2d echo
To rule out cardiac cause.
If both are normal then no need to worry much for cardiac cause.
Exposure to extreme cold can be the cause. So better to give her warm gloves in cold weather.
