Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi over the past couple of week ive been having pains in the middle of my chest and lower back like i have pulled a muscle. I feel the pain particularly when i try to turn in bed and climbing stairs. My work involves long standing pushing and pulling loads as i work for royal mail. I am starting to get sciatica on a regular basis also.
Good morning. Your symptoms are most likely muscular pain due to heavy object handling. In your case i would like you to 1) Not do heavy lifting for few days but continue light daily routine activities 2) take some brufen and muscadol 2-3 times a day ( make sure you are not allergic to brufen ) You can get these medications over the counter from pharmacy. 3) Apply diclofenac gel and hot packs over the painful area. If still in pain, consult the orthopaedic doctor for full examination. Hope this is helpful.
