What Causes Pain In The Chest, Back And Ears?

My Son is 28 years old. He has been exsperincing pain in chest area, middle of his back , pain in ears , left arm tingling and tips of fingers , this has been going on for 6-8 months with chest and lungs and ears hurting, past two days coughing up blood... mucus is clear , said he has a chemical taste in mouth.. been to Drs several times , always something stupid! Works outside Fracking! Really worst now since it s cold outside! Called and said he s going to emergency in moring! Please help! Someone is missing something also lymp nodes swollen.. face swelled all the time!!!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Since your son is coughing up blood you should no longer delay treatment. Infection is high with infilteration into the lymph nodes & that's causing facial swelling. Stop all addictions. He needs a thorough Chest examination, sputum & blood tests. He may need to go for CT, biopsy or bronchoscopy depending upon the reports. Presently you can give Pantoprasol-40 once daily for some relieve. Do not delay visit ER immediately, your son needs hospitalization, medicines & treatment. Give him healthy diet & quality time till he gets well.
