Peace! I m a stage 5 renal failure patient who very recently experienced an attack of gout. Concurrently, I had pain in my upper chest, which spread into my neck area, and which my physician diagnosed as costochondritis when a stress test came back normal. However, the pain in my upper chest is not sharp , as I see described everywhere, and it s been going on for about 2 months now. It s more of a dull ache, which is worse when I lie down, lean forward, or otherwise annoy the area. What sort of differential could be considered?
