What Causes Pain In The Chest With Spitting Of Blood?
hi, i recently developed a problem of spitting sputum with blood stains, and pain in my chest. i went for T.B test and the results came back negative. i then proceeded and bought augmentin antibiotics and took the full dose, though the blood stains in the sputum dissappeared and the pain bacame less there is still some little pain in my chest. i wanted to know if there is any other medication you could advice me to take. this was about 3weeks ago, thank you.
What was your diagnosis??? You have taken antibiotic and responded to it... So it could be by pneumonia like infection ...
Let me know you spitting blood in sputum may be by pneumonia, bronchitis , mitral stenosis like cardiac condition , pneumoconiosis etc...
But the common cause that is bronchitis and pneumonia ruled out first. For that chest x ray done to rule out consolidation and prominent vascular marking... By such infection pleura can be involved and so there might be pleuritic chest pain...
If needed ECG and PFT done...
Take rest ...No need for further antibiotic... Keeping these work up in mind consult physician....
