Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello. I am a 52 yr. old woman and not obese (120 lbs.) I used to work-out often, but now it hurts just to walk the dog each day...so I don t exercise other than that. I have several symptoms throughout my body and have been sent to various doctors for each problem but no one really looks at the whole body picture . A rheumatologist said fibromyalgia but I feel like that s a generic answer to multi-symptom pain. I have varicose veins and my feet are constantly cold and turn purple on occasion so I m fairly certain I have some sort of circulation problem (though trying not to be a hypochondriac - I try not to worry about blood clots ;-)...but...my lower legs ache below the knee joint (where most of the varicose veins are) and gets worse with walking or standing. today I got a pain in the side of my foot in the shower (purple feet with white spots when depressed with finger) that feels like an electric shock! I have had several of these shock pains before as well. I have severe pain in my hips and shoulders/neck, , knees and big toes (many of these MRI or Xray tested) and supposedly do not have arthritis. I ve had blood tests but nothing that shows anything serious. I have been in several car accidents: in one, a drunk driver hitting us landed me in Intensive Care with a lacerated liver...that eventually healed itself - but required blood transfusions. I want to be active again and wish I could determine the cause of my constant joint pain. Any thoughts??? Thanks.
