What Causes Pain In The Finger Joints?

Thanks I have a question my left hand the ring finger and the joints around them become locked and I have to pri them apart. It is painful Not sure if it is not arthritis since the finger locks up and hurts to pull it straight? What do think it could be. I have a Dr. Appointment tomorrow who should I ask to see as my Dr is a Nurse practitioner ? Thanks

As you explain the history these might be signs of arthritis and needs probably some blood tests and after will be the correct treatment.
