What Causes Pain In The Finger Radiating To The Shoulder?
Hi. I currently have a labrum tear and possible long head of the biceps tear in my right shoulder and I am awaiting surgery. My surgeon is currently on vacation for 2 weeks. Friday night, I fell over my daughter s tricycle trying to get to her in a hurry and I think I did more damage to my shoulder and my right middle finger may be broken. I ve been using ice, heat, advil, arnica cream, etc. Nothing is helping either. I can move my finger but when I do the pain shoots down into the back of my hand
The symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve in the shoulder. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the symptoms. I recommend to maintain the arm immobilized to prevent further damage.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
