What Causes Pain In The Foot And Toes After Injury?

I think I must have smacked my foot into something at work earlier and it was painful, but was busy and couldn t stop to evaluate. Foot started hurting more during the day and now I can t put any weight on my foot - from big toe pain through to ankle. Had it iced and can move my toes (though it hurts a lot) but can t turn my ankle left without a lot of pain. Any ideas? I can feel a strange bump as I follow from my big toe to ankle but I m not sure what to do now.

Hello and welcome to Healthcamagic.
Considering all this,I think that you should do x rays imaging to rule out fracture since immobilization may be required. You should rest, apply ice and take nonsteroid painkillers till tests are done.
I hope I have answered your query. I wish you a nice day.
