What Causes Pain In The Groin After Removal Of A Lipoma Above The Knee?

I have had burning in my left groin after removal of a lipoma above my knee. I have had physical therapy for two months and an injection in my lateral left hip area. Pain got better after injection but has returned in the last two days. Could this be a sign of arthritis in my hip?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

Burning can be a sign of nerve entrapment or compression, so yes your hip could be one possibility but you should also get your spine checked physically along with an MRI of your spine. There do of course exist other causes and your doctor will rule them out gradually, so please do visit your doctor.

Best wishes.
