What Causes Pain In The Groin Area On The Right Side?
I have a pain in right groin area. Don t know if it is a hip problem caused from hitting a lot of shag golf balls. I m 84 and hit golf balls twice last week. Hadn t done that for years. Since last week my groin area has been bothering me. No more hitting golf balls until I see if rest will take care of situation. Thanks!!!!!
Pain in unilateral groin area if it is dull type and constant may be due to inguinal hernia. Is there any history of chronic cough? If the pain was brought on by increased activity and relieved by taking rest,it can be due to problems in muscles or joints.
If I were your treating doctor,I recommend, -Tab.ibuprofen/acetaminophen half twice a day with antacid -Local warm compress may give some relief.
If still pain persists beyond 2 days, Further physical examination is necessary by surgeon/orthopaedician.
Hope this information helps. Thanks
