What Causes Pain In The Groin On The Right Side?

I have been experiencing pain in my right groin area on and off for quite a while now not very often. But lately more often, I don t have to be lifting any thing at all sometimes just getting out of a chair and walking. It is a burning type of pain, today I had an episode that was the worst ever. I had felt the pain while walking away from something and tripped ,the pain was a severe burning pain that knocked me to my knees.cold this be a hernia ? Richard Bricker.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The most likely causes would be a muscular pain or a hernia related pain. To make the difference a good visit with your doctor is needed and sometimes the doctor might send you for an ultrasound to better confirm or rule out any hernia in the area.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
