What Causes Pain In The Hamstring While On Septra For Recurrent UTI?

My wife has recurrent UTI and is on Septra prophylaxis. She has developed persistent, bilateral hamstring area pain, and the question of ischial bursitis related to ongoing Septra use. She also has skin involved lupus. Could there be a connection with the Septra influencing her lupus prompting these bilateral, proximal leg symptoms? I am a retired family physician and think there may be a connection. Thanks
