What Causes Pain In The Hand?

I received one of my bieweekly allergy injections today and within an hour I had some aching pain down in my hand. about 2hrs later, my hand hurts so bad I can hardly use it. Could the RN have hit a nerve in my bicep area that caused hand pain? I have a small bruise at injection site but it s not painful. What can I do?

Hello,

If there is a minor nerve injury, then it does not matter. Since you don't have numbness in the area, therefore nerve injury is unlikely. Maybe a bone or tendon injury can also be the cause, but it will get reduced on its own or if you want you can take some painkiller for it available.

If you still feel pain, then you can take vitamin b 12 tablets for a month which can help you in the nerve healing process. You can take Neurobion forte drug for one month once daily after food.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
