What Causes Pain In The Hands After A Rotator Cuff Surgery?

I had rotator cuff surgery three months ago. One full tear and one partial tear repaired along with removal of my bursa and a bone spur shaved down. I am a 62 year old female with osteoarthritis, diabetes, tendinitis, neuropathy, etc. Since the surgery, I now have elbow, wrist and hand pain of the same arm. I suddenly have a lump in the center of my palm. Both arms have bicep pain. Numbness and nerve pain since the surgery in the arm that had the surgery. I had a bad reaction to the nerve block. Do you know what s happening?

Hi,

I would advise you to do MRI of elbow, wrist and hand.

Also apply fentanyl patch locally to reduce the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Monish De,
