What Causes Pain In The Hip Bone And Large Clots During Menstruation?

I am 45 and menistrating. I am passing larger then normal clots and experiencing pain on my left side - feels like it is behind my hip bone but is tender all around hip. Hurts worse when standing or walking. - not somuch sitting. Please give me any ideas?!

There is nothing much to worry about. An ultrasound examination of whole abdomen will be required with hormonal test.
