Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been having pain in my hip for awhile now. I m young, but I ve read you can still get arthritis. I don t think it s damage to the bone because it s not all the time that it s hurting. Usually after I ve been sitting for awhile, like at school, but also when I do intense workouts or run in the park. There are sharp pains when I walk, seemingly deep in my hip, and when I lift up my leg sometimes there s excruciating pain like in pinching nerves or something. Is this be an issue with the bone that can be fixed, or something more permanent like arthritis?
As first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
