What Causes Pain In The Hips And Left Shoulder After An Injury?

Hello My husband fell from a height when stepping off a ladder onto a carport roof. The ladder slipped as he attempted to step from it and obviously he wasn t supported by either the roof or ladder at that stage and he fell. He clearly fell on his left hand side as he has abrasions on his left hip and elbow. He is complaining of extreme discomfort at the front of his left shoulder in particular though as well as pain in the hip area (probably tissue injury here). I have treated both these areas with an ice gel pack and cleaned up the abrasions too. Do you think he may have torn/strained ligaments in his shoulder and/or what do you advise at this stage?

@ With this intensity of pain , there is definite possibility of ligament sprain
or strain with or without bone insult .
@ Strongly recommend to get consultation with ortho surgeon and get
clinically examined , you require x-ray also .

@ Can take Ibuprofen type pain killer at present for primary pain relief .
