What Causes Pain In The Inner Thighs And Legs While Suffering From Sciatica?

I have been told I have sciatica, but the sciatica runs down the back of your legs. My pain starts at my right inner thigh down my leg, goes across the front of my leg and under my knee cap and ends at the bottom of my knee cap on the outside of my leg. I also have pain in my right hip and when bad enough runs down the outside of my leg toward the the knee cap. After sitting for a prolonged amount of time its difficult for me to walk with a noticable limp, made better and eliminated with walking, what injury do I have? It s been this way for about 4 years
