Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was in a room where an air conditioner was very cold and hitting the right side of me. I woke the next morning and my jaw hurt up to my eye and even on my neck. I have applied heat and taken tylenol and motrin but that hasn t helped. Should I take something else or could it be something other than the cold air blowing on me.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pain in the jaws and eyes which is mainly due to facial nerve pressure or impingement as carious lesion of oral cavity putting pressure on nerve which is the main supplier to jaw, eye, lips and leads to your symptoms. It could be due to infection and inflammation of sinuses.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to maintain proper oral hygiene. You should do mouth stretching exercises such as blow in and out. Visit dentist once and get oral cavity examined properly and start treatment as per cause of impingement. You should take proper course of antibiotics if this is due to sinus infection. Try to blow whistle and check if air passes or not. You should go for physical therapy of facial muscles.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
