General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM

Amlodipine will not cause joint pain. Please do not discontinue Amlodipine. It is important to adequately control blood pressure especially in patients with history of heart disease and TIA.
Please be advised to follow up with your provider to undergo Xray of hip and shoulder, to evaluate the cause of pain.

Hope this answers your question
