dear
thanks for writing to HCM
I appreciate for your concern towards health.
As rightly done a cold sponging is good.Had I been your treating doctor i would have advised for a uric acid and a RA factor done to rule out any bone ailment.
More over please be assured that some times during our continuous joint exercises,we get a twist &twig with our ligaments or nerves as well resulting in a transient pain.
Please be calm rest for a while and enjoy your life.
hope this helps
welcome for further queries
