What Causes Pain In The Left Arm And Palpitations?

I think I m having a heart attack!!!!! My left arm been hurting for a couple weeks now. I went to the ER they took an x ray the doctor said i was fine and to take some pills and call my primary care to find the real cause of the pain, but i never called. The pain in my left arm is getting worse , I m out of breath all the time, and i keep having heart palpitations and it s preventing me from getting sleep at night. Can you please help me.
