What Causes Pain In The Left Foot After An Insect Bite?

I was just stung r bitten on my left inside foot below big toe while in grass wearing flip flops. Felt like a bite but began swelling & hurting immediately. One puncture hole appears in center. Took benadryl & poured hydrogen peroxide on it....still hurting & throbbing...scared possible small snake? Spider? Poisonous?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

It looks like a localised reaction to the toxic chemical that is left under the skin by the biting organism..

What was it exactly is hard to tell without a clinical examination of the bite and can also go for a blood test..

But as per your explanation it does not look anything serious and you can take some time to get better..

You can apply Steroid ointment over the bite area, do cool compresses and avoid scratching with finger nails to avoid Infection..
Also apply antiseptic ointment..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
