Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In The Left Knee Below The Knee Cap?
For the last two days I have suddenly been experiencing pain on the outside of my left knee, somewhat below and to my left of the knee cap. It is worse when I stand and walk, but cold pack w=seem to help. I am not a runner, and actually don t walk as much as I should.
Cannot say in your particular case, but generally, there is wear and tear on the cartilage. Most runners would know the severity of this and braces, Aspirin-like drugs, MRI's, physical therapy, gait training, etc.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
