Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My left nostril is painful. There is nothing visible and no raised area or lump. It is painful to the touch and even when I flare my nostrils. The pain is pretty localized but the tenderness to touch reaches the area between the bridge of my nose and my left eye. This has been gradually getting worse for a few days. At first I thought it might be a pimple but it doesn t seem to be that.
There may be a lesion inside the nose that would be difficult to visualize normally from the outside.
The most common would be a small boil or similar lesion. A warm compress to the area at least twice daily for 15 to 20 mins along with an anti inflammatory pain killer would help eg naproxen or ibuprofen.
I hope this helps
