What Causes Pain In The Left Shoulder?

I am a healthy 58yo female of average height, BMI of 37 so overweight but active with a healthy diet, etc. currently experiencing periodic acute left shoulder pain which is not related to movement. Could this be a heart issue? Pain started about an hour ago and occurring every few minutes

Hello,

Yes, BMI is very high. I suggest you to take some professional advise from dietician who can give you a good diet to follow. You can also consult with Plastic surgeon regarding Liposuction/Bariatric surgery.
For acute left shoulder pain, I would like you to do some tests:
1. ECG
2. Liver Function Test
3. Chest X-Ray

I would like to ask some questions:
1. Is there any pain when you touch the area
2. Is the pain dull or sharp
3. Is the pain related to the meal (before or after, pain occurs mostly, like this)
