Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I injured my left shoulder while doing crossfit (kettlebell swings overhead) and although it started off as only painful if I applied pressure (attempted to lift something or push something) now there is a throbbing pain from that area of my shoulder. Thinking tendonitis or something wrong with my rotator cuff? Thoughts?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Welcome to health care magic. I understand your concrn. Your symptoms suggest overstretching of some muscles/tendons forming rotator cuff of shoulder. You should consult an orthopedic surgeon .. get investigations like MRI to detect exact cause followed by specific msnagement (antu inflammatory pills/steroid injection/physiotherapy or surgery in sime patients ) Till rhen you should give rest to the part/hot or cold packs or over the counter anti inflammatory pills ( like ibuprofen). Thanks.
