What Causes Pain In The Left Side Around The Kidney Area?

hi I have a pain in my left side around the kidney area not sure why I have this pain it came on suddenly?? it hurts when ever I cough or move that area. I did have a few alcoholic beverages last night but not much and I have not had a injury. my cough is not an issue im just getting over the flu but the pain in my kidney area is quite painful.

Hello

Left side pain may be due to many reasons like renal calculus,liver or gall bladder pathology,musculoskeletal pain etc.
You need proper clinical examination and few investigations.Investigations include routine hemogram,RBS,liver function test,urine RE/ME,ultrasound of abdomen.

Ultrasound of abdomen is very important in you case,as it can exclude many conditions.
Treatment depend upon findings.
