What Causes Pain In The Left Testicle?

Hi my left testicle currently has some pain. Not that painful but there is a little ache. I did an exam no bumps, lumps, not swollen. They all seem to be same size and no difference between the two testicles. What do you think the problem is. BTW, i dont have any symtops of nausea or anything just a mild ache.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.

All these symptoms are suggestive of epididimitis which is inflammation of part of testicle and not uncommon in males. This is usually treated with 10 days of antibiotics, usually ciprofloxacin and there are no permanent consequances. MAsturbation should be avoided till pain persist. Some more serious conditions such as tumors or torsion are rare but in doubtful cases you should do Doppler ultrasound or scintigraphy.

I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
DR. Ivan Rommstein
