Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In The Left Thigh After A Spine Surgery?
Had spinal surgery in 2003 - L-4, L-5 and S-I are bolted together with cages in between. Successful. Three months ago while doing an exercise - left foot on right knee and swing the left thigh out to the side and back - felt pain and felt/heard a click. Tried rest and anti-inflamtory creams -- has not reduced the pain.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Since you already had spine surgery, we should definitely rule out spinal damage in your case. You heard click while exercising and started developing pain in leg and back after this. You are are not improving with rest and drugs. So there is high possibility of spine injury. So consult orthopedic doctor and get done clinical examination and MRI of spine. You may need physiotherapy and revision surgery on the basis of report. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
