What Causes Pain In The Leg After A TLIF Lumbar Fusion?

I m 5 weeks post op from a TLIF lumber fusion 4/5. I am having pain and various other symptoms in my leg. This began around 2 was ago but has progressively deteriorated in the past 2 /3 days. My leg feels cold and tingly and I have like a ripping pain along my middle upper thigh. I brace myself when I need to get from sitting to standing and I am anxious that there maybe a problem with the hardware?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I have gone through your query. It may be due to nerve compression at lumbar spine.

For further assessment you may require MRI back, nerve conduction studies spine surgeon consultation.

For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen.

You may require tablet Pregabalin and multivitamin after consultation.

Do regular physical therapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
