Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
At night, while trying to sleep,I am experiencing pain in my right leg, from the back of the knee down to the ankle...it is not as bad in the daytime, unless I have been sitting for 30 minutes or more. It is a sharp, piercing and throbbing type of pain. It wakes me up at night, and I am having a hard time finding a position that my leg does not hurt.

What Causes Pain In The Leg At Night?
Hello, Most probably it is due to peripheral vascular disease due to the poor blood supply to the calf muscles. Consult a general surgeon and get evaluated. An ultrasound Doppler is required for further treatment. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
