General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Fatigue and muscle pain is a most frequent side effect of Lipitor and the basic reason for default.
You should not stop taking it as it is an integral part of all treatment protocols of cardiac patients. If the risk has reduced, the dose of it can be reduced to 20 mg or 10 mg but let your cardiologist do it. It is good that you are observing dietary restrictions but they work synergistic only.
Taking the tab at bedtime improves acceptability.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
