What Causes Pain In The Legs And Buttocks After A Prostate Surgery?

Had prostate surgery, radiation. My pain symptoms are;unable to sit down, feels like sitting on a hard rod at top of legs and buttocks.Throbbing pain also. Could these be side effects from radiation? No one can answer why I have this pain, can you?If not side effects, what else could cause this constant, and severe pain that has been going on for months, with no relief?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Because of radiation may be adjacent structures like pudental nerve or sacral plexus affected. Consult a neurologist for recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. C. Elanchezhian, General & Family Physician
