What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen On The Left Side?
I am 66 years old and I have a nagging pain on my lower left side, every night and it goes away after I release gas. On top of this every time I eat I end up with loose stools even if I have a proper motion, it keeps going on and on. I am on omeprazole
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Lower left abdominal pain associated with ocassional loose motion could be caused by many medical conditions .Possible causes may include: -Digestive disorders like: Bacterial, viral or parasitic digestive infections, Crohn's disease, ulcerative collitis, sigmoiditis.... -UTI -In females, gynecological problems like PID,Ovarian/uterine masses I will suggest you: -Continue with omeprazole as prescribed by your Doctor -See the Doctor for examination.Your Doctor may request for a stool exam/culture and abdominal ultrasound or scan. -In the meantime, you may take an anti-spasmodic pain like spasfon and an anti-inflammatory pain drug like celebid if pain id intense. Hope this will help Best regards
