What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen On The Left Side?
Good afternoon, I am a 49 yr old female and I have been experiencing bloating/pain/gas in my lower left abdominal area x 3 days. I have had a partial hysterectomy 2012 but have my ovaries. I have done some research and am trying to conclude if it is related to my ovaries or possible diverticulitis. I do have about 4 symptoms for that, but no fever, diarrhea or anything. When I take a deep breath, my left side hurts like I just ran a marathon after drinking water. I never experienced any bad cycles in my youth, but I know things can change as time marches on. Any advice would be helpful, thank you. Audra
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
In my opinion, we should first rule out hormonal imbalance in your case. So get done hormone levels and if imbalance then you may need hormone pills. If hormones are normal then get done ultrasound abdomen to rule out intestinal pathologies for your symptoms. Avoid junk food. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small. Take Pantoprazole and Levosulpiride combination on empty stomach twice daily. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
