What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen On The Right?

So I am having this pain in my lower right abdomen. It s not all the time and it s not so bad that it prevents me from doing my daily activities. It s just uncomfortable and at times it can get pretty bad. I also get the same type of pain right under my right rib cage. I m a 19 year old female. I don t know how to explain the pain but at one point it was a burning feeling. At the moment it is hurting but I can t explain the pain. Should I go into the doctors?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Any kind of pain that repeats over time should not be ignored. To find out exact cause for this, I would suggest you to see a doctor and get an ultrasound done. Once the ultrasound reports come, it will be easy to manage the pain with appropriate medication.

And you have thought of seeing a doctor for the same is the best thing to do rather than staying in confused state and worrying.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
