What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen?

ive had reall bad pains in my lower abdomen, around and just bellow my hip. for over 10 yrs, one dr. said it was a herniea another said it was my colin, after a colonaskapee, came out negative, couldn t check out upper colin cause during a endoscopy my bp shot up to high. well the pains are the worse on the left, I also have them on my right side, always there but with a lot of major flair ups!! I cant sit, or lean over, or bend over. they sean to be spreading into my lower back also? the flair ups happen at any given time, and are getting rapidly worse..all I can do is place my arm across my gut bend over and moan like hell. pain meds don t seem to help. hardly sleep or eat, mainly lay on an angle on the couch.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There are several medical conditions that cause pain in the lower abdomen. It can be a gastrointestinal issue or a urinary tract problem. I suggest you do some examinations to confirm the cause.

You should do :

-a complete blood count
-a urinalysis
-an ultrasound.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
