What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen?

I have had several months of lower tummy pains, went to ER and had a CT scan. The ER doctor advised it was diverticulitis and put me on no fiber diet. Went to a follow up exam and like a month of two types of antibiotics, but the pain and problem continue. I am not better but worse. I have some new problems to include a feeling like something in stuck on the back of my tongue and mouth sores. Could this be something else?

@ Pain in lower abdomen is already diagnosed as diverticulitis by CT .
@ Tongue and mouth issue are not in relation to diverticulitis , that seems
due to other systemic issue which may be thyroid level disturbances or
else .
