General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I understand your concern.

The symptoms are due to pinched nerve caused to osteoarthritic degenerative changes in lumbar and cervical spine.
Swelling in both legs may due to associated venous insufficiency.
Along with MRI spine, also undergo test called colour doppler of peripheral circulation.
Pain Relief can be obtained by narcotic analgeics and muscle relaxants if the routine pain killers havent helped you.For the neuropathy, you may be given gabapentin drug.Local injection of steroid at spinal area may be opted for severe symptoms.you need to consult orthopaedician in this regard.
Muscle stretching and strengthening exercises and diathermy with consultation from physiotherapist may give you some relief.
In non responding cases, surgical options will have to be considered
Avoid bending at waist area.Have brace for neck to get support.
Always keep your lower back and neck supported while sitting in chair.
Avoid prolonged abnormal postures of back and neck.

Hope this information helps.
Any further query is welcome.
